Sharelle McMahon
On the banks of the Yarra River, Des caught up with champian Victorian netballer and proud Vixen, Sharelle McMahon - a deadset sporting legend. She's the vice captain of the Australian team, been a gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games twice, and has three MVPs in the national league.
So it's no wonder Sharelle likes to get away from it every now and then! She and Des headed to the Studley Park Boathouse for a spot of boating, but got rained out. So they headed inside to get a bite to eat.
For a country girl, the Yarra River and the Studley Park Boathouse provides a haven from the rush of the city.
Afterwards, Sharelle took Des down to the netball centre in Parkville. Des donned some netball gear, and what followed was probably one of the lowlights of Australian netball in recent times.
